Introducing Camp Messy Pants!

Our summer theme this year is Sleep-Away Camp!  But don’t worry we aren’t leaving the studio.  We are bringing the feeling of the wilderness and adventure to Messy Pants but leaving the bugs and rashes behind!   

We have a lot of adventure to squish into just 100 days of summer ’22.  

That means we invite you to spend your summer laughing with new friends, scavenger hunts, camp badges, “roasting” marshmallows, stories by the camp ‘fire’, stargazing, tie dye, PJ days, pizza parties, themed crafts and so much more.

Every Friday at Camp Messy Pants we will transform our warehouse into our very own wilderness campsite, complete with a crackling faux camp fire. We will “roast” marshmallows, tell stories, and even turn down the lights for a dazzling light show. 

This is the year of “badges” sticker badges that is.  In fact, this year our summer motto is “we have a badge for that”!  All of us at Messy Pants are thrilled to add this participation based badge system to our camps. Experimented with a new watercolour technique…we have a badge for that! Perfected your surfing koala sculpture…we have a badge for that! Helped a friend having a bad day…we have a badge for that too! Kids will go nuts for the badges and the badge book that comes with every camp. Gotta collect them all! 

Another new addition this year is Pizza Party Fridays! Yup, just like it sounds, included with camp tuition is a Friday Pizza Party. 

At Camp Messy Pants we will focus on team building.  We will have get-to-know-you games, spirit activities, camp cheers and so much more.  We will be offering smaller group activities to encourage campers to make long-lasting friendships.  

We have 10 BRAND NEW camp themes like Space Bunnies, and Gnomes & Gemstones! They are all fun, original, and age appropriate. But you know what? The themes, as awesome as they are, are not super rigid.  We will give kids plenty of room to express themselves and make their projects what they want them to be.  So if your kids space bunny, is really a space cat, we are more than ok with that!

A week at Camp Messy Pants Includes…

Summer Camp Details 

Camp Messy Pants is the perfect place to spend some time this summer. Our Camps are run by the week,  which offers much needed flexibility to your summer planning. We have 10 separate camp themes, which means you can join us for one week or for ten weeks, with all new projects every week. Camps run from 9am to 4pm. Our Studio is inspiring, huge, and air conditioned.  We also do go outside to get some fresh air while staying safe on-site.

The most important things to know about camp are… dress for mess and wear old clothes and shoes as we will get MESSY. Don’t forget to pack a water bottle, a nut free lunch and snack.

The typical camp day will include 2 longer work periods where we make more detailed art projects.  For example, an acrylic painting or a sculpture. The camp day will also include cabin time for crafts like boondoggle, Perler Beads, Shrinky Dinks, friendship bracelets, beading and more. Students will also have independent time where they can play with their friends.
